Pot Noodle – the beloved snack of lazy cooks all over – has ditched its pot for the first time.
The new ‘Lost the Pot Noodle‘ range can be made by chucking it into a mug, bowl, jug or cup and topping up with boiling water – much like your bog-standard Pot Noodle.
You can also make it in a saucepan over the hob if that’s your thing.
The new range comes in three flavours Curry, Roast Chicken and Sweet Chilli.
The new potless noodles are designed to cut back on plastic and make the quick snacks more environmentally-friendly. Currently, the hard plastic used in the pots is difficult to recycle.
And as well as being greener, they’re also cheaper with an RRP of 80p or just 50p when they’re on promotion. Win, win.
But Pot Noodle isn’t getting rid of its pots entirely – the new range will be sold alongside the existing offerings.

“Rest assured, our newest creations are just as flavoursome as our trusty pots, but we’ve just made it a little easier to create a delicious, low in saturated fat meal that is ideal for dinnertime when something truly satisfying is needed on the table.”
The popular snack has been around for 40 years and has an army of loyal fans but none are quite so loyal as the woman who went ahead and got the words ‘pot noodle’ tattooed on her leg.
Appearing on Channel 4’s Tattoo Fixers, a woman called Georgia admitted that she did wish she’d gone for something ‘a little bit more sensible’, but still raved about the noodles.
She said: “Last year I went on holiday to Magaluf with a couple of friends. We went out every night drinking and on the last night we all decided to get a tattoo.
“I wracked my brains trying to find out what I could get tattooed and the it hit me – Pot Noodle.”
She added: “Everything about them is incredible.
“Succulent noodles, the lovely little pieces of meat and veg, that little packet of magic sauce, it’s a combo made in culinary heaven…
“I’ve been known to eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!”
